Join The Mean Green At The Football Intrasquad Scrimmage

DENTON (2/17/05) - Make plans to join the Mean Green on Saturday, Feb. 26 for a full day of North Texas Athletics, beginning with the football intrasquad scrimmage at 9 am at Fouts Field.

The Mean Green intrasquad scrimmage will run from 9 am to 12 pm and is free to the public. After the scrimmage, Coach Dickey will present a video of the 2005 recruiting class in the team meeting room on the first floor of the new facility on Bonnie Brae. Athletic director Rick Villarreal will also give his quarterly update on the progress of the program, and tours of the new athletic building will be offered.

"This event will be a great opportunity for Mean Green fans to come and see how the football team has developed after the first two weeks of spring practice," said head coach Darrell Dickey. "The highlight video following the scrimmage will give everyone their first glimpse of the future of North Texas football, and believe me, there is a lot to be excited about."

The day concludes with the men’s basketball regular-season finale at the Super Pit against South Alabama. Tipoff is set for 7 pm.
