Men's Basketball Concludes Regular Season At Home This Weekend

DENTON (2/23/05) - The North Texas men's basketball team plays its final two games of the regular season this week, hosting Sun Belt Conference West Division opponents New Orleans and South Alabama. The Mean Green plays New Orleans on Thursday night at 7 pm in Super Pit before facing South Alabama on Saturday. Every North Texas game can be heard live on KWRD (100.7 FM) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The Mean Green is currently tied for fourth place in its division, but a number of different scenarios can place the Mean Green anywhere from the No. 3 to No. 5 seed in the conference tournament. The No. 3 team out of the West receives a first-round bye. North Texas, which is 8-5 at the Super Pit this season and 30-19 at home over the last four seasons, will host the league tournament March 4-8.
Come early and bring the kids as the Fun Zone will open one hour prior to tip-off each night. Ticketing options start at $5, Family Packs (4 tickets, food & drink) at $25, and can be purchased by calling the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office at (940) 565-2527, or by purchasing them at the gate.
Tickets for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, hosted by North Texas on March 4-8, are still available by calling the Ticket Office. A package for all 20 men's and women's games is just $75. Hospitality room, parking and sponsorship options are also available.
