GOODYEAR, Ariz. (3/9/05) Junior Jaclyn Golden and freshman Halli Jo Richard both had top 10 finishes to pace the North Texas women’s golf team at the Bobcat Desert Classic from the Palm Valley Golf Club.

Golden had a final round of 1-over par 72 to place fifth individually with a three-round score of 222. Richards closed with a final round of 76 and finished at 224 tied for sixth place.

Junior Andra Lancaster fired a team-best round of 1-under par 70 in the final round of play to vault into the top 20 and finish tied for 16^th. The round of 70 by Lancaster was tied for the best round of the tournament by an individual.

North Texas finished tied for third place out of 19 teams after firing a season-low round of 296 in the third round.

The Mean Green will return to action on March 14 at the Islanders Spring Classic in Rockport, Tex.
