Day Two Of Sun Belt Conference Tourney Play

DENTON (3/5/05) - The second day of the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Tournament is set to begin after six first round games were played on Friday. Both the men's and women's teams from Middle Tennessee and FIU advanced in early-round action.
Women's action opens the day with the No. 1 west seed Louisiana-Lafayette facing fourth-seed FIU at 11 am in the Super Pit. The No. 1 seed from the east Western Kentucky plays Arkansas-Little Rock at 1:30 pm.
The Arkansas-Little Rock men will open up the second session with a game against Florida International at 5:30 pm. The No. 1 seed from the west Denver will close out the action with a matchup against Arkansas State, who defeated North Texas, 84-76, on Friday night.
The North Texas women received a first-round bye and will play on Sunday, March 6 against Middle Tennessee at 1:30 pm.
