Richards Named Sun Belt Conference Golfer Of The Month

DENTON, Tex. (4/7/05) North Texas women’s golfer Halli Richards was named the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Player of the Month after collecting two top 10 finishes in her first ever collegiate tournaments.
Richards, a true freshman, placed third at the East/West Rio Invitational in her first tournament and followed that up with a sixth place finish at the Bobcat Desert Classic.
Richards posted a round of 72 at the East/West Invitational and a career-best 71 at the Bobcat Desert Classic.
Richards competed in four tournaments in the month of March and placed in the top 20 in all four. She compiled the second best stroke average on the team in March and had three rounds under 75.
