Mean Green Basketball

The men's basketball team is coming off an impressive win at Tulsa on Monday and their record is currently 7-4. The Mean Green begin Sun Belt Conference play this week as they take on a 2005 NCAA tournament team in Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday, January 5th and New Orleans on Saturday, January 7th. Both games begin at 7:00 pm.
Tickets
The Family Fun Zone opens 1 hour prior to tip-off, reopens at halftime, and between double headers. Tickets can be purchased by calling the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office at (940) 565-2527 or at the gate on game day. Tickets begin at $5 and a Mean Green Domino's Family Fun Pack is also availabe for $25 per game and includes 4 Baseline Reserved tickets, 1 large pizza and 4 sodas. If you can't make the games you can still tune in on 88.1 FM or 100.7 FM. Kids can also stay for post-game autographs.
Charity Game
The 3rd Annual Soles vs. Souls charity basketball game pitting North Texas area high school basketball coaches against ministers is set for 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 7th. Tickets for the fundraising basketball game are $8 if purchased in advance and can be bought at www.cadc.org and at participating area DATCU branches. Proceeds benefit the Childrens Advocacy Center of Denton County and tickets will be $10 at gate D of the Super Pit after 4:30 pm. The ticket also gets you into the North Texas game that evening as well. NBA great Spud Webb and North Texas Athletic Director Rick Villarreal will be the honorary coaches of the Souls. George Dunham of the Mean Green Radio Network, KTCK Sportsradio 1310 "The Ticket" and the Dallas Cowboys is also a guest coach of the Soles.
