DENTON (11/22/06) The North Texas women’s golf team has announced the signing Chandra Alexander to a National Letter of Intent in the early signing period. Alexander, a Southlake Carroll senior, will arrive at North Texas for the 2007-08 season after a standout high school career.

Alexander is a four-year letterman who was a first team all-state selection last season at Snyder High School. She is a three-time all-region pick and a three-time all-district player.

In her junior year at Snyder, she was the State Runner-Up medalist and part of a team that captured the Class 4A State title. Alexander had a stroke average of 75.30 her junior season, down nearly three strokes from her sophomore year.

Alexander was also a top 10 finisher at the 2006 Fort Worth City Girls Championship and had a top 10 finish at the 2006 AJGA Abilene Reporter News Junior Golf Classic.
