Lancaster Leads Bobcat Desert Classic Heading Into The Final Round

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (3/7/06) Senior Andra Lancaster surged into first place in the second round of the Bobcat Desert Classic with a 2-over par 74 in blustery conditions at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
Lancaster, the clubhouse leader, holds a one-shot lead over three players heading into the final round of play with a two-round score of 150.
North Texas as a team remains in second place in the 16 team field, seven shots behind tournament leader
“I’m excited about the way that we are playing,” said
Sophomore Halli Richards moved up 16 spots after the first round and is tied for eighth place following a second round of 75. Brooke Tanner posed a second round score of 83 has a score of 160 for the tournament.
Jaclyn Golden and Christine Shimon fired second round scores of 84 and are tied at 161 heading into the final round.
The final day of the Bobcat Desert Classic begins tomorrow with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
