Women's Basketball Adds James To The Recruiting Class

James shot 49 percent from the floor last year and 33 percent from 3-point line and 84 percent from the free throw line. At
James was a multi-sport star in high school as she was a two-time Volleyball District MVP and a three-time regional qualifier in cross country.
“Mamie is a great addition and can make an immediate impact in our program. She is a complete player who has the ability to score from anywhere. Her work ethic will be contagious, and her size will at the guard position is something that will cause match up problems for opponents" Slinker said.
James will have two year’s of eligibility remaining with North Texas after leading the Apaches to a 24-win season in 2005-06.
