DENTON (4/26/06) - The spring season is starting to wind down at North Texas, but there is still a lot of work being done at the Mean Green Village. The volleyball center is getting a new floor, and landscaping is starting at Mean Green Village.
The North Texas volleyball team will have a new home for the upcoming fall season, and the floor is just about ready. Currently, lines are being painted and the new logos and watermarks are being laid down. Once a final coat of sealer has been applied and allowed to sit, the court will be game-ready.
Started a little over a week ago, workers sanded the floor down to the bare wood. A couple coats of sealer were applied before the center court was marked for volleyball. The center will be primarily used for volleyball, but a few markings were put down for a practice basketball court.
The volleyball team already has coaches' offices and a locker room that are in us at the Mean Green Office and Gymnasium Complex. The team can walk straight from its locker room to its new court.
