Gauthier Qualifies For The U.S. Women's Open

DENTON, Tex. (6/15/06) Former North Texas standout Randi Gauthier has qualified for the 61st U.S. Women’s Open, which will be played June 29-July 2 at Newport (R.I.) Country Club. Gauthier made the field of 156 by qualifying at the Heathrow,

Gauthier had an incredible run during her senior season, winning four tournament titles and posting eight top-five finishes in the 12 events she competed in. She was selected as an individual competitor to the NCAA Central Regional in 2002 and 2003.
