Quinn Takes Home Top Award at Banquet

Junior defensive back Aaron Weathers earned the Joe Greene Outstanding Defensive Player Award after earning all-conference honors for the Mean Green in 2006. Weathers is one of four honorees at the banquet that will return for
The other returners include Antoine Bush, and All-Sun Belt performers Jeremiah Chapman and Maurice Holman. Holman, was the recipient of the Byron Gross Award for most outstanding linebacker. Chapman went home with the Bill Bishop Award for outstanding defensive lineman, and Bush was named the winner of the Bill Brashier Award for outstanding defensive back.
Other award winners include Dylan Lineberry with the Phillip Armour Award for most outstanding offensive lineman. Zach Muzzy was named the winner of the Abner Haynes Award for outstanding special teams player, and the Shawn Kramer Award went to Denis Hopovac as the most inspirational player.
The night was capped when new Mean Green head coach Todd Dodge greeted the crowd after receiving a standing ovation.
