The Mean Green caught the Lady Indians napping out of the gate and jumped out to an early 5-1 lead on the strength of its inside game. The Mean Green controlled the lane all night, piling up a 34-26 edge in points in the paint.
Despite trailing by 29-23 at the break, the Mean Green got back into the game immediate, trimming the lead to one within the half’s opening minutes.
Brittney James was impressive off the bench once again. The freshman poured in a team-high 13 points in 31 minutes of action, including a highlight-worthy assist to Amber Jackson in the second half.
