Another Comeback Win For Mean Green Volleyball

After falling into a quick 0-2 hole, Amy Huddleston rallied the Mean Green (8-14, 4-4) with the team’s best offensive performance of the season. The freshman notched a .436 attack percentage, and completed the comeback with her 21st kill against the Ragin’ Cajuns (3-22, 2-8).
Huddleston’s efforts gave the Mean Green its second 0-2 comeback win of the season, and the fourth in the Headrick era. Huddleston is the first Mean Green player this season to tally at least 20 kills.
The freshman's efforts wouldn't have been possible without a standout performance from setter Heather Maddox. The sophomore broke out with 68 assists, the sixth best performance in school history and the most by a Mean Green player since 2002.
After the loss in game two, the Mean Green clamped down defensively. Jessica Hulsebosch paved the way with her second straight 20-dig effort. The senior finished with a season-best 27 against the Cajuns.
Fellow senior Katy Prokof was just a dazzling with her second straight double-double performance. Prokof also netted a season best 19 kills and 16 digs.
