Rose Closes Strong For North Texas

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (10/17/07) It was a tough finish for the North Texas women’s golf team in the final round of the Price’s Give Em Five Intercollegiate. North Texas fired a final round of 319 to fall to 13^th place for the tournament.

It was a tightly bunched group of players for North Texas as the top four players were all within two shots of each other. Jordan Rose, Halli Richards, and Chandra Alexander posted three-round scores of 233 while Janna Golden was two shots behind at 235.

Rose had her best day of the tournament with a 4-over par 76 while Richards carded a third round of 79. Alexander fell back in the final round with an 83 after consecutive rounds of 3-over par 75 in the first two days. Golden shot a third-round score of 81 while Maggie Noel shot an 83 in the final round.

The Mean Green as a team posted a three-round score of 934.

North Texas has one more tournament to close out the fall season on Nov. 3-5 when they will compete at the Challenge at Wolfdancer.
