Got an old cell phone or ink cartridge you’ve been saving because you don’t know where to dump it? The University of North Texas is reaching out to the student body and Denton community with a new recycling program called Recycle to Eradicate Poverty. This program is designed to give cell phone and computer users a place to recycle their used cell phones and ink cartridges. The money raised from the recycling program is used to help fund micro-finance loans for those in need. Think of it like this, you’re turning your worthless cell into a priceless chance for someone in need of financial assistance. North Texas is the first university in the country to begin this program, so let’s make history as being the first university in the country to implement such a program and raise the most money of all universities that participate after us! Collection bins will be placed in every major building around campus as well as at the entry gates to Fouts Field this weekend.

This week is Homecoming! The Mean Green is set to square off against the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee Saturday October 27^th at 6pm at Fouts Field.
