Mean Green Finish Strong At Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Tex. (10/9/07) The North Texas women’s golf team closed out the Jeannine McHaney/Audrey Morehead with its best round of the tournament. Led by Janna Golden’s final round of 2-over par, the Mean Green shot a third round score of 310 to finish in 12^th place as a team.

North Texas shot a three-round score of 969. Texas Tech captured the title with a blistering final round of 291.

Maggie Noel had the low score for the Mean Green in the tournament with a three round total of 238. Jordan Rose bounced back from a difficult opening day to shoot a final round of 76.

Rose was two shots behind Noel with a 240. Golden posted a tournament score of 244. Halli Richards carded a final round of 81 as did freshman Kyla Whittley.

North Texas is back in action next week, Oct. 15-17, at the NMSU Price’s “Give Em Five” Intercollegiate.
