Prokof's 20 Kills Not Enough At Sun Belt Tournament

Prokof led the Mean Green (12-21) with 20 kills, giving her 1,442 for her career. The senior passed her former teammate Brittany Gregory, who amassed 1,425 in her illustrious career.
The Mean Green refused to go quietly, surging out to a lead in the second game. NT survived a late DU rally to win, 30-28, on the back of setter Heather Maddox’s passing. The sophomore posted 44 assists for the Mean Green and passing her former teammate Ashley Bass for fourth in school history with 1,928 career assists.
Rachel Raley powered the Mean Green comeback attempt with 11 kills and a .429 attack percentage. Freshman Kelsey Robins and Jessica Hulsebosch led the defensive effort with 12 digs apiece.
Brooke Engel finished the night with one service ace, and will end her senior campaign second in the national service ace race behind
