Also playing in his final game at Fouts Field, Jamario Thomas earned Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors from collegefootballnews.com. Thomas, a senior from Longview, Texas, rushed for all three of the Mean Green's touchdowns in the win over Western Kentucky. He finished the game with 16 carries for 147 yards. It was his 13th career 100-yard rushing game, which ranks third in school history. It was also the first time since his freshman year that Thomas has recorded mutliple touchdown games in back-to-back contests.
