Lambright Falls In Playoff At The Bobcat Desert Classic

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (3/14/07) Senior Tara Lambright came up just shy in her bid to capture her first individual tournament title as she lost in a two-hole player to Kate Morgan from Gonzaga at the Bobcat Desert Classic. Lambright, who posted a final-round of 76, had a career-best finish despite losing in the playoff.

Freshman Maggie Noel had another solid performance as she posted a top-10 finish with a three-round score of 228. Noel shot a final round of 76 to finish in eighth place.

North Texas as a teams shot a third round of 312 to finish in seventh place in a field of 18 teams.

Freshman Jordan Rose posted a third-round of 78 and a tournament score of 237. Kelsie Grey and Christine Shimon struggled in the final round as they both shot final rounds of 82.

The Mean Green is back in action on March 26-27 at UALR/NT Classic in Hot Springs, Ark.
