Mean Green Adds Orr To Volleyball Coaching Staff

DENTON, Texas (8/01/07) - Miranda Orr joins the Mean Green volleyball coaching staff as an assistant after a stellar playing career and coaching stay at
Orr spent the last three seasons as an assistant with the Falcon volleyball program helping the team to the regional tournament each year. As a player, she was a four-year starter at outside hitter and earned 2001 All-Red River Athletic Conference and NAIA Region VI first-team selections.
One of the most celebrated players in UTPB history, Orr currently ranks third all-time in the Falcon record books in kills (838) and digs (1,138), fourth in service aces (150) and fifth in attacks (2,211). She was given the team’s offensive MVP award as a junior, and earned the Falcon Award, a spirit distinction presented by UTPB Athletics.
On the club volleyball front, Orr’s West Texas Juniors squad qualified for nationals in 2006 and 2007.
