Golden Panther Attack Too Much For NT Volleyball

The Mean Green (3-16, 1-5 Sun Belt West) surprised the Golden Panthers (15-4, 5-1 Sun Belt East) last year, but the four-time Sun Belt Player of the Week made sure that didn't happen in 2008. Rosa, who leads the nation in kills, posted 17 kills on .424 hitting, and added five digs, four blocks and an ace.

There was no sneaking up on Rosa and the Golden Panthers this time. Brittani Youman and Salah Schoenecke each had seven kills to lead the NT offense, which hit just .054 against the perennial Sun Belt power.
Sarah Willey led the match with 12 digs for the Mean Green. Marelle Lepmets dished out 23 assists.
The road doesn’t get much easier for the Mean Green, which welcomes the Sun Belt champion Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders to town on Thursday at 7 p.m. NT hosts
