Blue Raider Attack Too Much For Mean Green Volleyball

DENTON, Texas (10/16/08) Middle Tennessee used a precision attack to dissect the North Texas volleyball team in a 3-0 win on Thursday night at the Mean Green Volleyball Center (25-22, 25-14, 25-18).
The Mean Green (3-17, 1-6 Sun Belt West) hung with the two-time defending Sun Belt champs in the opening set, but the Blue Raiders (15-3, 5-1 Sun Belt East) landed kills on nearly half of their attacks (40-of-81) on the night to power the win.
Roxana Casvean once again provided the offensive output for NT. The sophomore had six kills in the opening frame to keep the Mean Green in contention, and a team-best 11 kills overall on .261 hitting. Casvean also landed a pair of service aces and three digs.
