Care Packages for our Soldiers in Iraq

The track team is putting together Christmas Care Packages for soldiers in Iraq. They would like to bring this challenge to the entire Athletic Department. Their asking that the simple items listed below are to be collected, which will be sent in a Care Packages for the soldiers. They are asking everyone bring items to the Academic Center on November 24th by 5:00pm. Please pass the word to friends and family if they wish to participate.

Care Package Items:
Tasty Treats
- Hot chocolate, cider, or hot soup mix (Individual packets)
- Candy
- Microwaveable food items (Popcorn, desserts, heat & eat soups, etc.)
- Cereal bars
- Granola Bars
- Home baked goods (pack brownies and cakes in bread slices or package in tins and wrap in plastic wrap
Necessities
-Baby Wipes
-Batteries
-Gold Bond Foot Powder (Travel-size, preferably)
- Lightweight fleece blankets.
Entertainment
- Hand held games (battery games with batteries, please)
- Pre-paid gift cards or gift certificates (Visa, American Express, ETC
- Books (Current titles are greatly appreciated)
- Magazines
-Small puzzle books
- AT&T Phone Cards (this brand because it works in the Middle East area)
-DVDs, Music CDs (New releases are the best, but classics are appreciated, also)
-Footballs, baseballs, baseball gloves, soccer balls, volleyballs...
Holiday Traditions
-Signed Holiday cards from you and your families (include your name and address!)
-Blank Holiday Cards (They can send to back home to loved ones, they do not need postage.)
- Garland
- Shatterproof ornaments
- Tinsel
- Lights (small wattage)
- Small artificial trees
