Many exciting this are going on with Mean Green Athletics. Our Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are playing well, and preparing for a strong finish to the regular season. The Sun Belt Tournament is right around the corner and both teams need everyone’s support as we look forward to that. Also, the North Texas Softball Team started their season off this weekend at home with the Quality Inn and Suites Tournament.
There is a buzz around the area about our recent football recruiting class and the hiring of two new assistant coaches, both on the defensive side of the ball. For an in depth look at all of our signees visit meangreensports.com.
It’s not to late to start looking ahead to future NT Lettermen’s Association functions. Mark your calendars for June 7th- Zeke Martin Memorial Golf Classic, with a social on the night of the 6th for everyone playing. This Golf Classic is not strictly for Lettermen, and is open to the public. More information regarding the tournament will be available on the website shortly. We are expecting another great turnout.
We are still receiving Nominee’s for this year’s NT Lettermen’s Board of Directors. I encourage everyone to please send in your nomination before the second week in March. I cannot stress the importance of this decision and how it affects the success of our association.
