- Junior Collin Dennis led the Mean Green with a career-high 34 points off 12-20 shooting, including 4-9 from three-point distance and 6-8 at the FT line.
- Dennis also established new career highs with 12 made FGs and 20 FG attempts.
- Dennis’s 4 three-point FGs and his 9 three-point FGAs tied his career highs.
- His 34 points marked his second 30-plus scoring game this season. He poured in 30 points vs. Arkansas State on 1-10-08. He is the only Mean Green player to score 30 or more points in a game this season.
- Dennis is the first UNT player to have multiple 30-plus games in a season since 2001-02 when Chris Davis scored 32 points in a pair of games.
- Dennis’s 34 points marked the sixth time this season he’s scored 20 or more points.
- Dennis is the first UNT player in 7 years to score as many as 34 points in a game. The last Mean Green player to score that many was Chris Davis, who dropped in 37 against Louisiana-Lafayette on 2-22-01.
- For the second consecutive game, Quincy Williams fell one rebound shy of a double-double: he finished with 10 points and 9 boards against the Trojans after registering 17 points and 9 rebounds on Thursday against Denver.
- Odd note of the night: Troy attempted 41 three-point shots against the Mean Green, just two nights after Denver attempted 39 total field goals against UNT.
- Freshman Tristan Thompson recorded his 7th career double-figure game against Troy, finishing with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
- Senior Ben Bell also finished in double digits with 10 points to go along with 8 rebounds, which ties his season high.
- Freshman forward Kedrick Hogans came off the bench to grab 9 rebounds, matching his season and career high.
- As a team, the Mean Green matched its season high with 19 assists in the game.
