Women's Basketball Comes Up Short Against ASU

The Mean Green fell to 13-15 overall and 8-8 in the Sun Belt, while ASU improves to 17-11 and 12-5 in the conference. The Indians leave the series, 13-7.
The Mean Green shot 30 percent in the first half, making only nine field goals as ASU jumped out to a 38-27 halftime advantage. The Indians used a 16-12 run at the start of the second half to prevent the Mean Green from making a comeback.
Erica Howard led all scorers with 21 points, two points shy of a career high. She led four Mean Green players in double figures. Yari Escalera followed with 12 points and Amber Jackson and Jo Hall chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
