Our goal is to include a recognized program with national prominence once a year. Additional games with SMU or Tulsa provide our fans not only with a chance to see our team play at home, but to travel to a regionally close site for the away games as well. The Army series also gives our fans a chance to travel to a really great place in West Point if they have never been there” Athletic Director Rick Villarreal said. “Our other goal is to have six home games for our fans to watch on a consistent basis.”
The schedule will include trips to six different Southeastern Conference schools, one Atlantic Coast Conference School, the first game against a Big 10 opponent in the history of North Texas Football there is also one Big 12 Conference school and a Conference USA opponent.
