Green Gang: Don January Golf Classic Today At Trophy Club

It's that time of the year again, well a little later in the year this time, for the Don January Golf Tournament. We are out at Trophy Club raising money for the North Texas Athletic Scholarship fund and the weather this time around couldn't be better.
It's a little on the steamy side, but the golfers are on their way out to begin the scramble in what has become the biggest fund raising events of the year for the athletic department.
One of the better pairings of the day has a group of letterman that any North Texas fan would want to play with. Toby Gowin, Jason Mills, Troy Redwine, Jeff Graham and Mitch Maher make up one pairing. Keep an eye on Mr. Gowin, his golf game is nearly as good as his punting game was. He's has made a hole-in-one out here before.
That group also consists of a large portion of the North Texas Athletic Hall of Fame.
We will keep you posted on any holes-in-one that car dealers around the Denton area are holding their breath about.
Not only is it a great day for golf, but also a great day to recognize and honor the namesake of the tournament, Mr. Don January.
