Notes From Fall Practice #16 and 17
Mean Green Football came Friday morning to a different site than expected. Practice was moved to Fouts field for the morning session due to rain in the area last night. The afternoon session took place at the Athletics Center as planned.
- Attire: Full pads continued to be a staple of the two-a-days morning practice. Shells were also dawned per the normal routine for the afternoon session.
- Friday's second practice marked the second special team's only practice of fall camp. There is no doubt that the coaches want to improve on what ended up being a soft spot for the Mean Green last season.
- With just under two weeks until the kickoff of the 2009 campaign, North Texas Football started working on its game with Ball State this morning.
- Continuing what has been a week of beatings, the defense refused to allow the offense to get the upper hand for the fifth straight day. Since the scrimmage that was all offense August 15th, the defense has regained its form and taken over.
- The team will participate in its last scrimmage tomorrow, Saturday, at 8:45 a.m. at Fouts Field. All fans and media are encouraged to attend. As always, the Green Gang will be there with their Inside the Iron chats for those who cannot make it to Denton.
