North Texas head coach Todd Dodge rewarded two hard working wide receivers this morning by offering them scholarships. This is a normal ritual during fall camp but Alex Lott and Kevin Dickerson can put away that money they were saving for books.
Lott, a junior who walked on last season, is the leading receiver returning for the Mean Green after pulling down 26 catches. Lott, the son of former OU great Thomas Lott III, walked-on after a brief stint at Texas Lutheran and has caught onto the system rather quickly.
Dickerson is in his third year at North Texas and actually started out at the running back spot. He has re-invented himself though into a pretty receiver though. Dickerson had 21 grabs last season and his one TD came at a crucial time in the win over Western Kentucky.
Both are hard working guys who have put in their time and it's now been rewarded.
