Mean Green Volleyball Falls In Bearkat Classic Opener

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (9/18/09) - The North Texas volleyball team had its two-match win streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to Central Michigan at the Bearkat Classic opener on Friday afternoon.
Amy Huddleston led the Mean Green (2-9) offensively, who were out-killed 39-20 by Central Michigan (4-3). The junior tallied eight kills and seven digs on the afternoon.
North Texas tallied its lowest hitting percentage of the season, hitting just -.010 against the Chippewas. As a matter of fact, neither team could really get its offense going. Central Michigan racked up 27 attack errors and hit just .099 as a team.
North Texas returns to action tomorrow against Sam Houston State at noon and Lamar at 4 p.m.
