Green Gang: Points Make The Difference

Yesterday at women's hoops practice was the first time I had a chance to watch some actual basketball, not the usual monotony of practice, a little scrimmage time.
Coach Stephens broke the team into green vs. white and boy did a couple of things stand out. What a difference a point guard can make. Kasondra Foreman and Alyssa Hankins, thank you for coming first off, and please stay healthy.
Those two are the smallest players on the floor, both lucky to be 5-5, but they are the tallest and most important. After last year's festival of turnovers due to the lack of a point guard, things are different.
Foreman was in charge of the green team. She twice brought the ball up the floor, quickly pushing it, and then proceeded to skip an entry passes into reigning SBC Frosh of the Year Jasmine Godbolt for easy scores.
This can go on for 40 straight minutes if you ask me. There is only one player in this league that can guard Goldbolt down low and that's Arnika Brown of WKU. If Foreman can be that consistent and precise with her entry passes, even Brown (entering her 17th year I think) will have a tough time defending that.
Hankins ran the White squad's offense and the difference was staggering to see. Hankins really demanded the ball on most occasions and the movement was tangible.
The confidence the two displayed was also noticeable and will certainly rub off on the younger players, of which this team has plenty.
The first two year's Stephens had no QB so to speak, now she's got two she can count on in Foreman and Hankins.
