The Fall 2010 North Texas Recruiting Class
- Jordan Williams - 6-6 - SF - The Colony HS
The gem of the class is Jordan Williams, who led The Colony to the state semifinals as the No. 71 player in the country and the No. 7 overall player in the Lone Star State. Those figures make him the highest rated recruit in the program's history. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 19.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game as a junior, and garnered District Co-MVP honors, as well as All-Region and All-State recognition by the TABC. Williams is listed as the No. 24 small forward in the country by Rivals.com, and Texas Hoops named him the No. 4 small forward in Texas.
"We are delighted about the addition of Jordan Williams to our program. He will be one of the most dynamic players to ever suit up for the Mean Green." - Johnny Jones.
- Forrest Robinson - 6-10 - PF - Eastland HS
Eastland's Forrest Robinson is listed by Texas Hoops as the seventh best power forward in Texas after racking up averages of 22.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game for the Mavericks. Like Williams, Robinson was his district MVP, and was named All-Region and All-State by the TABC. Texas Hoops named Robinson the No. 32 player in the state, and Hoop Scoop put him No. 275 on the list of the nation's top preps. He was named the All-Big Country Super Team MVP by the Abilene Reporter News, as well as their Super Team MVP, after leading Eastland to a 28-4 record and a trip to the Region I semifinals.
"We are thrilled that we will have the services of Forrest Robinson, who has the versatility, at 6-10, to play both inside and out, which will create a lot of matchup problems for our opponents." - Johnny Jones.
- Trey Norris - 6-0 - PG - South Grand Prairie
Trey Norris averaged 16 points and 7.0 assists per game for South Grand Prairie last season, which made him a First-Team All-District 7-5A selection, and the No. 70 ranked recruit in the state according to Texas Hoops. Hoop Scoop listed Norris, a 6-foot, 170-pound point guard, as the No. 620 player in the country. Norris' AAU team, Showtyme Elite, won a Great American Shootout title in April.
"We are ecstatic about the signing of Trey Norris. With the graduation of Josh White and Dominique Johnson, Trey has the potential to come in and make an immediate impact at the point guard position at our program." - Johnny Jones.
