GREEN GANG: Let's talk about clutch for a minute, shall we. Josh White cutting across the right block with three seconds to play and hitting the tying runner to send the game into overtime. Yep, that was clutch.
Kedrick Hogans not only blocking three Red Raider shots, but drawing two charging calls in the first five minutes of the game, which changed Texas Tech's entire offensive approach. Check, that's pretty clutch too.
What about George Odufuwa hauling in his 18th career double-double on a team that advanced to the NIT quarterfinals in 2010. I don't have to even tell you how clutch that is.
Tristan Thompson was admittedly ice cold in the first two frames against Texas Tech, but he showed up clutch in the overtime period with a pair of big buckets when needed.
But one of the most clutch performances of the night had to be the North Texas fans showing up in force, loud and proud, for the Mean Green. I assure you that your performance against the Red Raiders powered the Mean Green onto victory on Tuesday.
I hope everyone enjoyed their turn dancing on the hardwood of the Super Pit. With your support down the road, there will be plenty more dancing done by the Mean Green.
