GREEN GANG: So we know North Texas will take on Kansas State in Thursday’s opening round of the NCAA Tournament. But how does the Mean Green matchup with the Wildcats? That’s what the rest of the DFW media wanted to know at practice today too. Here’s what coach Johnny Jones had to say.
Representatives from each of the Dallas/Fort Worth television stations were on hand today at practice to speak with coach Jones and the Mean Green. With the opening round game just two days away, Jones liked his team’s chances.
His team now owns the nation’s third longest winning streak at 11 games and is peaking at the right time.
The Mean Green will play in its third NCAA Tournament when No. 15 North Texas and No. 2 Kansas State take the court on Thursday at 1:50 p.m. All of the NCAA Tournament games can be seen on CBS.
