Today marks a milestone in the construction of the new football stadium. The weather has allowed crews to make significant headway in the last few days. Today... the stadium went vertical. The first signs of rebar going vertical made an appearance today. Today's photo album shows portions of the southeast corner of the facility going up into the air.
In addition grade beams are being formed and filled with concrete in this area. In addition to rebar going up, you will see that the stadium's first wall is also being formed. Also on the west side workers have begun to erect the base of a crane to help with building the west side.
Work on the west pond continues to evolve and take shape. The photo album shows an 18-wheeler driving right through the middle of the pond (I've always wanted to do that). The pond is not the only area with ground work taking place. The north and east side seating areas are also being reworked by the excavation team.
New to the site today was a stack of white pipes that will be used to start installing the stadium's plumbing system in the near future.
Good weather though is starting to turn the site into one that is looking like a stadium. If you take a look at the time lapse on the live cam it kinda of, I mean kinda starts to look cool. Give it another month and its there.
