North Texas Places 144 on SBC Honor Roll

DENTON, Texas- The University of North Texas has placed 144 student-athletes on the Sun Belt Conference's annual academic honor roll, the league has announced. The 144 honorees were a part of Sun Belt Conference-record 1,710 student-athletes to earn academic honors from the league.
North Texas landed 64 student-athletes on the Commissioner's List, reserved for student-athletes who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher in the 2009-10 academic year. The Mean Green placed 80 more student-athletes on the SBC Honor Roll, which honors all student-athletes who maintained a 3.0-3.49 GPA.
Swimming and diving led North Texas with 25 student-athletes on the list, 13 Commissioner's List honorees and 12 Honor Roll performers. Football placed 24 student-athletes on the list, and 20 women's track and field student-athletes also made the list.
