2009 Key Stat: 0. That's the number of starts Johnson has missed in his career at North Texas.
Why He Will Start: Experience. Johnson knows the ins and outs of the offense and is the anchor of the offensive line. His experience gives him the ability to always have the line in the correct scheme.
Why He Won't Start: Injury. Johnson may have the talented freshmen Nick Leppo pushing behind him, but offensive line coach Jeff Bryant isn't trading 24 career starts for zero career starts.
Don't Forget: Johnson helped North Texas rank in the top half nationally in rushing offense and passing offense in 2009. He also helped the Mean Green allow the 10th least sacks in the country last season.
2010 Outlook: Johnson spearheads an experienced group that needs to pave the way for a big season if North Texas is going to reach its goals in 2010. Johnson and his bunch must play well every week for the Mean Green's bevy of playmakers to be successful.
