Ken Murczek Era Begins In On Friday

DENTON, Texas - On Friday the Ken Murczek era of Mean Green volleyball will begin. The 15-year coaching veteran has installed his "middle based" offense, and a new mentality that he hopes will help his troops to contend for the Sun Belt West Division title.
The Green Gang's Stephen Howard had a chance to catch up with Murczek and veteran transfer Kristin Petrasic, a Carrolton native who excelled at Central Florida. They feel their squad is ready for the challenges of the 2010 season.
North Texas opens the regular season at the Jackson State Tournament on Aug. 27 against Southeastern Louisiana at 3:30 p.m.
