Green Gang: Men's Golf No. 3 In The Nation

I guess it didn't take long for North Texas to find their way into the rankings, and forget top 25, how does top 5 sound?
It's quite early, but the first golfstat.com rankings are out and the North Texas men's golf team in No. 3 in the nation. Let's repeat, that's the men's golf team is the third ranked team in the nation.
Not state, region, southwest, we are talking the nation. Not to be outdone, the women's golf team is 26th in the nation after the first week.
Without question that is the highest ranking for North Texas, dare I say in any sport since 1952. The last time the men's golf team won the national title.
No question these rankings will change in the upcoming weeks and it's way too early to be talking that type of success for this year because it's always better to be there at the end of the year, but a great start none the less.
