PORTLAND, Ore. - North Texas continued its perfect start to the golf season as the women captured the Rose City Invitational to win back-to-back tournaments to begin the 2010-11 year.
Junior Kelsey Kipp outlasted Whitney French of Oregon State in a marathon playoff that lasted 12 holes to win the individual title.
The Mean Green shot a final round of 3-over par 291 to pull away from Oregon State and Portland State for the title.
For the first time since the 2004-05 year the Mean Green has won multiple tournaments in a single season. North Texas had four players finish in the top-20 of the event, the most of the entire field.

Addison Long recorded another top-10 finish with a final round of 73. Long finished tied for seventh place with a 222.
Chandra Alexander scorched the course in the final round with a 1-under par 71 as she shot up the leaderboard. Alexander climbed into the top-20 to finish alone in 17th place.
Freshman Taylor Kilponen and Chaslyn Chrismer were both steady in the final round as they each shot a 77. Kilponen had a 20th place finish while Chrismer was tied for 31st.
