GREEN GANG: I think we were all waiting for a comparison of the state's two Tristan Thompsons. We, of course, have the 18 point per game shooting monster here in Denton, who was just named the Sun Belt Player of the Week for his 30-point outing at ULM.

And in Austin, the Longhorns field a 6-foot-8 freshman who was just named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week. Their Thompson is scoring 13.1 points and pulling down 7.6 rebounds per game.

We might have to wait for the NCAA Tournament for what Pat Forde calls the "Battle for worldwide Tristan Thompson superiority".
