Football And Women's Basketball Wins Contest

DENTON, Texas (10/21/11) - The North Texas football and women's basketball teams took first place in the first-annual door-decorating contest for Homecoming. The women's volleyball team received second-place honors.
Each Mean Green team chose a door in the student-athlete academic center and decorated according to the Homecoming theme, "The Incredible Scrappy." Athletic staff members voted for the favorite door and the winners were announced at Float Night on Wednesday night.
The football and women's basketball teams received 200 Green Cup Points for winning the contest. The Mean Green Cup is a competition between all Mean Green teams that effectively encompasses the Champs/Life Skills Commitment areas of academic and athletic excellence, personal and career development, and community service.
