Forward Patton Ineligible For 2011-12 Season

DENTON, Texas – The North Texas men’s basketball team will be without the services of Grambling State transfer Justin Patton for the 2011-12 season.
Patton, who led the SWAC with 7.1 rebounds per game last year, was ruled ineligible for the upcoming season based on academic circumstances prior to his transfer to North Texas. The senior will have one season of eligibility remaining.
“We are disappointed that Justin won’t be available to play this year, but we look forward to him providing the depth in practice that will help us improve,” said North Texas head coach Johnny Jones.
The Mean Green opens the season on Nov. 11 against St. Gregory at the Super Pit at 7 p.m.
