NEXT GAME: North Texas will wrap up play in the LMU Centennial Classic against hosting Loyola Marymount tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. CST.
- North Texas was 0-11 from the 3-point line, which is just the second time in school history the Mean Green has failed to hit a 3-pointer.
- Columbia, on the other hand, hit 12-of-17 from deep, which is the most by an NT opponent since Oklahoma State landed 13 on 11/17/08. On the tournament, Columbia is 24-of-36 (66.7 percent) from 3-point.
- Kedrick Hogans just missed his first career double-double by a single rebound. The New Orleans native scored 12 points and a career-high tying nine boards.
- Hogans also logged a pair of blocks to give him 86 for his career – the third most in school history.
- North Texas had never faced Columbia on the basketball court prior to Saturday’s matchup, and it was just NT’s second game against an Ivy League opponent. The Mean Green’s only previous game against an Ivy League team was a 68-48 loss to Princeton in 1998.
- Kedrick Hogans logged his third 2-block game of the season, which brings his season total to six blocks and his career number to 86 – third most in school history.
