NEXT GAME: With its seven-game road swing in the rear-view mirror, North Texas returns home to face Sam Houston State at the Super Pit on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.
- North Texas turned the ball over just four times – the fewest by an NT team since it had four against McNeese State in 1993.
- Chris Jones scored 22 points for his third 20-point outing of the season.
- Loyola Marymount had knocked off a pair of ranked teams already this year – No. 17 UCLA (69-58), No. 23 St. Louis (75-68).
- Roger Franklin made his first career start for the Mean Green against the Lions and hauled in four points and four rebounds.
- Alzee Williams’ free throw streak came to an end against LMU. The sophomore had hit the season’s first 18 attempts, but rimmed out his first attempt of the game. He is now 21-of-22 on the year.
- Jacob Holmen saw his first action for the Mean Green since Nov. 22, missing four games with an injury. He landed a pair of jumpers that put NT on top 22-20 midway through the first half.
- North Texas committed just a single turnover in the opening half, and turned LMU’s nine turnovers into a 14-0 edge in points off turnovers.
