NEXT GAME: North Texas plays East No. 3 seed Western Kentucky at 6 p.m. in the Summit Arena in Hot Springs tomorrow, Monday, March 7 in Hot Springs, Ark. The winner of that game advances to the Sun Belt finals. The game is on the Sun Belt Network and on the MGRN.
TEAM
-North Texas knocked off the No. 1 overall seed for the second straight year, and only the second time in its time in the Sun Belt. North Texas also beat the East Division Champion, Troy, last season in the championship game.
-The Mean Green have reached at least the semifinal of the Sun Belt Tournament for the past three seasons and four times in the last five years.

Tristan Thompson
-Became one of only eight players to make 20-of-20 free throws in NCAA Men's Basketball History
-Scored the most points for a North Texas player since Chris Davis scored 37 against UL-Lafayette on 2/22/2001.
-Set the North Texas single game record with 20 free throws made. Jackie Pierce had the previous record with 19 against Hardin-Simmons on 1/31/1957.
-Set a Sun Belt Tournament Record with 20 free throws made. J.J. Montgomery (Ark. St.) and Shaun Reynolds (New Orleans) had shared the previous record with 14 free throws made.
-Tied the Sun Belt Tournament Record for free throws made in a tournament with 25 in two games so far.
-Set the North Texas single season record for free throws made with 200 on the season. Jim Mudd previously held the record, he hit 181 free throws in 1959-60.
-Set a career-high with 36 points
-Scored 30+ points for the second time this season.
-This is the third time a North Texas player has scored 30 points in a game this season. Josh White scored 32 points in an overtime win against Texas Tech on 11/16, and Thompson had 30 at ULM on 1/20.
