No. 71 - Steve Ramsey Scorches NCAA Record Books With 71 Touchdowns

With a quarterback like Steve Ramsey it's no wonder that North Texas set the college football landscape ablaze with its potent passing attack. Ramsey set a new NCAA record in 1969 with 71 career touchdowns (69 passing, 2 rushing) - a mark that still stands in the North Texas record books.

All of those records have since been toppled, but Ramsey's impact at North Texas is still felt. The three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference star went on to be taken in the fifth round of the 1970 NFL draft, and played seven NFL season for the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos.
