Mean Green Parent Orientation
What Is it?
A special program developed to inform parents of what to expect during the first year of college of a student athlete. They learn NCAA rules and requirements as well as what the North Texas Student Athlete Services Center does to help their children succeed.
FAQ
1. Is this program mandatory for parents?
No, it is not mandatory that parents participate. However what we offer is very unique to athletics and feel parents strongly benefit from the information shared, and can better serve their son or daughter during their college career.
2. I cannot attend the program, is there something I can do to obtain the information shared?
Yes, please see below to the link to obtain the presentation. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact an advisor and or the Student Services Coordinator for help.
3. Is all this information about GPA, Percentage and degree completion requirements, told to my daughter?
Yes, we inform them of all this information several times, from rookie round up to one on one sessions with their athletic academic advisor.
